I am writing this not only for you the reader,
but myself as well.
I always need to hold myself accountable.
If I do not, I will fall into the roll of being COMFORTABLE.
Being comfortable for a salesperson,
is a DEATH RATTLE to success.
If you become comfortable, you stop training.
If you become comfortable,
you will forget all that you have learned.
If you become comfortable,
you cease to follow the steps, that have made you successful.
If you become comfortable,
you invite into your life,
the 3 cousins of,
WAVERING, VACILLATION AND PROCRASTINATION,
what a terrible trio these 3 are.
It's not over yet though, those 3 cousins bring their father;
the CRAZY UNCLE you never want to invite to the Barbeque.
The unwelcome uncle is, MR. BIG EXCUSE.
UNCLE EXCUSE, always seems to have a reason why
"things just ain't workin' out."
UNCLE EXCUSE, can give every reason why,
"he has been dealt a bad hand."
The worst thing, is that UNCLE EXCUSE,
always wants an audience.
He has to exclaim to the world why,
"I work real hard, but I just can't seem to get ahead."
Here's the issue, YOU INVITED THIS FOURSOME
to the Barbeque, and now they are
having this family gathering within your head.
Right from one the founding fathers of the
United States of America.
"HE THAT IS GOOD FOR EXCUSES,
IS SELDOM GOOD FOR ANYTHING ELSE."
Benjamin Franklin
Think about it; Benjamin Franklin,
by signing the DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE,
literally was signing a death warrant on himself.
By signing the Declaration of Independence, Benjamin Franklin, was telling Jolly old England to GET OUT OF MY COUNTRY.
He had enough courage, to let them know,
YOU HAVE NO CONTROL OVER ME.
I am determining what happens to me.
I am also letting you know (England),
that future generations will also HAVE A CHOICE.
NOW THAT'S COURAGE,
in the face of overwhelmingly terrible odds.
He knew right then and there, that by signing
The Declaration of Independence,
the Brits were going to come hard for him.
He and the rest of our Founding Fathers,
DIDN'T BACK DOWN.
Thank God for their courage, they gave no excuses.
THEY JUST GOT TO WORK!!!!
So what's the issue with us as salespeople?
I believe that many of us are EXTREMELY SOFT.
I believe that many of us just want to take the easy way out.
I believe that many of us as salespeople,
only want to work with LAY DOWNS.
I believe that many of as salespeople,
have a REALLY BIG BUT,
that now is determining our success.
ENOUGH!!!!
The time is now, not tomorrow.
Are we as salespeople ready to commit or not?
Are we ready to commit to learning, training,
role playing and customer service?
Or, are you ready to commit to continued
SMALL ASS COMMISSION CHECKS?
Here is the thing, all of this IS BY CHOICE!!!!
Life is not luck,
true MASTER CLOSERS,
just didn't wake up one day and
know how to handle objections.
THEY PRACTICED IT, UNTIL THEY "MASTERED IT."
This is why they are MASTER CLOSERS.
This is why consistently they make the Big Bucks, while others just sit around and point fingers and make excuses as to why, "that other guy just seems to have the MIDAS TOUCH."
Remember this...
The winner's in the game of sales are always pointing, reaching, and attaining whatever goals they have set out for themselves. The people who are making excuses, always just seem to be pointing to the guy who just gets it done.
Get my point!!!
So what are we going to do about it?
Like I just said, ENOUGH of this NONSENSE, PLEASE!!!!
AT THE END OF THE DAY,
YOU ARE ONLY HURTING YOURSELVES.
NO ONE GIVES A DAMN, SO END IT, NOW!!!
No more hanging around salespeople
who want to PUKE on each other, when they have a bad day.
MISERY LOVES COMPANY, when you see others trying to ruin someone's day talking about "the one that got away."
Don't just walk, run away from this negativity.
HOWEVER.....
If you are the one PUKING on others, end it right now.
That's just good old Salesperson's justification.
"I ain't selling shit,
so I am going to make sure you don't either"
"I am having a bad day,
so let me try to ruin your day too,
so I can feel better about myself."
Look guys, I am not telling you that if you have a bad day,
not to vent it out, and get it off your chest. That's ok.
I want you to vent however,
to the person who is staring you face to face in the mirror.
Please do not lie to this person.
Talk it out with the person staring you in the face.
Watch their reaction to what you tell them.
More times than not, by watching this mirror image of yourself,
you can quickly identify who the culprit is.
MASTER CLOSERS realize one thing better than anyone else; that is how to read people.
So be truthful here.
Be the MASTER CLOSER who is now reading you.
By doing this,
the MASTER CLOSER
who is staring back at you,
from inside the mirror,
will get unleashed within you.
When that transfer takes place,
everyone else had better watch out,
because that guy is truly unstoppable.
NOW GO OUT TODAY AND
MAKE SOME NEW FRIENDS.
BE THE REAL YOU,
WITH YOUR NEW FRIENDS.
THOSE NEW FRIENDS
WILL PAY YOU HANDSOMELY.
WHEN YOU CHANGE,
SO WILL YOUR COMMISSIONS.
